Build a Meaningful Career-Without Sacrificing Life Outside of Work

At New Direction Trust Company (NDTCO), we believe great work should be meaningful, challenging, and rewarding-and that employees should still have time for the people and experiences that matter most.

As a growing leader in the self-directed IRA industry, NDTCO empowers individuals to take greater control of their retirement savings by investing in alternative assets such as real estate, private equity, private debt, and precious metals. Our work gives clients greater flexibility and more possibilities as they build the financial futures they envision.

Our success starts with our people. We invest in employee development, promote from within, and create opportunities for team members to build lasting careers in the financial services industry. If you are driven, detail-oriented, and passionate about creating an exceptional client experience, we would love to meet you.

About the Opportunity

NDTCO is seeking a Transaction Specialist to join our growing Transactions team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving problems, managing detailed processes, and helping clients navigate important financial transactions.

In this role, you will review, interpret, and process transactions involving alternative investments held within client retirement accounts. You will work directly with clients, review investment documentation, support transaction funding and settlement, and help protect the company by identifying irregularities and ensuring transactions follow applicable IRS requirements and internal policies.

This is more than a processing role-it is a client-focused position where communication, responsiveness, and sound judgment matter. Our clients trust us with important financial goals, and every interaction is an opportunity to provide a positive, supportive, and efficient experience.

This position reports to the Operations Manager.

What You'll Do
  • Review, process, and resolve investment transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Analyze investment documents for completeness and compliance
  • Process transactions involving alternative assets, including private equity, private debt, and real estate
  • Communicate proactively with clients regarding transaction requirements, status, and next steps
  • Provide responsive, professional, and solutions-focused client service
  • Apply applicable IRS requirements and internal guidelines throughout the transaction process
  • Identify irregularities and help mitigate operational and financial risk
  • Coordinate transaction funding and support proper settlement execution
  • Collaborate with team members and other departments to support successful client outcomes
  • Contribute ideas that improve processes and strengthen the client experience
  • Support additional projects and company initiatives as assigned
What Will Help You Succeed
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • A genuine passion for providing excellent service and building positive client relationships
  • The ability to manage a high-volume workload while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented approach to challenges
  • Sound professional judgment and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • The ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Education and Experience
