Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Owner (10+ years of experience) to drive the hands-on execution of a high-priority product launch for a major market infrastructure player in financial services.

Following a successful MVP validation, this initiative is moving into its next expansion phase - scaling the platform for a target initial launch at the end of October, followed by multiple phased rollouts throughout the upcoming year.

This role requires a true Product Owner (not a pure PMO profile) who brings a balance of product ownership, delivery discipline, structured communication, and cross-functional leadership in a high-visibility, multi-stakeholder environment.

Key Responsibilities

•            Product Ownership & Execution: Drive product readiness and execution toward the October launch and subsequent quarterly rollouts. Translate high-level product strategy into actionable launch milestones.

•            Cross-Functional Conduit: Act as the primary conduit coordinating across product, engineering, technology, delivery, client-facing teams, external vendors, and industry partners (~20–30 team members across the broader program).

•            Dependency & Risk Management: Proactively track program readiness, testing, dependencies, and issues. Apply strong product judgment to identify trade-offs, escalate risks early, and ensure momentum is sustained.

•            Stakeholder Alignment & Client Support: Manage stakeholder communications across internal teams, consulting leads, and industry-wide client participants.

•            Product Backlog & Delivery: Partner closely with the Delivery Lead and Project Leadership to keep all streams aligned without taking on administrative PMO overhead.

Key Qualifications

•            Experience Level: 10+ years of professional experience in Product Ownership, Product Management, or complex technical delivery within Financial Services or Capital Markets.

•            Product Ownership vs. Project Management: Proven track record of managing product trade-offs, prioritizing backlog items, and driving execution in large-scale multi-stakeholder programs (rather than managing pure project timelines/PMO tasks).

•            Communication & Navigation: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated ability to build consensus across fragmented, inter-company teams (Engineering, Tech, Product, and Client-Facing teams).

•            Industry Domain: Familiarity with financial market infrastructure, wholesale banking, capital markets, or post-trade processing.

•            Digital Assets / Tokenization (Plus): Prior experience or exposure to Digital Assets, Blockchain, or Tokenization is a plus, but not mandatory for candidates with strong core product execution discipline.

Engagement & Logistics

•            Duration: 12-month contract assignment.

•            Target Start Date: Immediate / Early August 2026.

•            Location & Hybrid Schedule: Tri-state area (3 days/week on-site required at the client''s Jersey City office).

Interview Process

•            Round 1 (online): Initial Screening with GFT

•            Round 2 (online): Technical & Experience Interview with Oliver Wyman Project Lead (Karanvir) & Associate Partner.

•            Round 3 (in-person): Leadership Interview with Oliver Wyman Senior Partner.

•            Round 4 (in-person): Final Client Interview with Product Leadership Team.
