Senior Accountant Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 2+ years of accounting experience
• Manufacturing accounting experience preferred
• Experience with cost accounting, inventory accounting, or plant accounting is a plus
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting
• Experience using ERP systems such as SAP, NetSuite, Epicor, Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains), Sage Intacct, or similar

Senior Accountant Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger review
• Prepare accurate monthly financial statements and management reports
• Analyze financial results, identify trends, and provide meaningful variance analysis
• Coordinate and oversee monthly physical inventory counts
• Maintain inventory accounting records and assist with inventory valuation
• Support cost accounting activities, including inventory standards and manufacturing cost analysis
• Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
• Partner with plant leadership to improve financial performance and operational efficiency
• Support year-end audits and assist with audit schedules and documentation
• Prepare KPI reporting and financial dashboards for leadership
• Participate in continuous process improvement initiatives and special accounting projects
