Job Description

Role: AWS Engineer with expertise in AWS Cloud, Infrastructure as Code, DevOps, Automation, Security, and Containerization, responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing scalable, secure, and highly available cloud environments.

Experience: - Minimum 8+ Years

Location: - Chicago, IL (3 days/Week)

Responsibilities: -

  • Design, deploy, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available AWS cloud environments.
  • Build and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline.
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability using AWS CloudWatch and other monitoring solutions.
  • Configure and manage AWS networking components including VPCs, Route Tables, Security Groups, Load Balancers, and VPNs.
  • Implement cloud security best practices including IAM, encryption, secrets management, and compliance controls.
  • Support containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS preferred).
  • Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance tuning across cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with development, architecture, and operations teams to deliver cloud-native solutions.
  • Ensure backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity requirements are met.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and architecture diagrams.

Educational Qualifications: -

  • Engineering Degree BE/ME/BTech/MTech/BSc/MSc.
  • Technical certification in multiple technologies is desirable.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.

Minimum 8 +years of overall IT experience with at least 7+ years of hands-on AWS experience.

Strong understanding of cloud architecture principles and AWS Well-Architected Framework.

Experience implementing secure and compliant cloud solutions.

Hands-on experience with CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code.

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Domain & Platform Experience

  • Experience with Healthcare IT applications and data platforms.
  • Healthcare industry experience / knowledge (Provider, Payer, Life Sciences, or HealthTech).
  • Experience with data migration and integration projects.
  • Exposure to Snowflake, Redshift, Databricks, or healthcare data lakes.
  • Knowledge of AI/ML services on AWS.
  • Experience with FinOps and cloud cost optimization.
