Contract: Initial 12-month contract
Rate: Up to £500 per day (Inside IR35)
Location: London (3 days per week onsite)
We're recruiting for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join a major enterprise data transformation programme. You'll be responsible for building and supporting cloud infrastructure, automating deployments, and enabling the delivery of a large-scale Azure-based data platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for enterprise applications and data platforms.
- Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to support scalable Azure environments.
- Collaborate with architects and engineering teams to implement secure, resilient cloud solutions.
- Manage Azure services and deployment pipelines while driving automation across development and release processes.
- Support large-scale data platforms and ETL workloads, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Troubleshoot deployment, infrastructure and automation issues across development and production environments.
- Promote DevOps best practices, governance and operational excellence.
Essential Skills
- Strong commercial experience in DevOps engineering within Azure cloud environments.
- Hands-on expertise with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong knowledge of GitLab and deployment automation.
- Scripting experience using PowerShell or Shell.
- Experience with Azure services, including Azure DevOps and related platform services.
- Exposure to big data or data engineering environments, including technologies such as Spark, Cloudera, Hive, or HDFS.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication and problem-solving skills.
