IT Project Manager FSD

Seeking an experienced Project Manager to support application transition and implementation activities associated with a large acquisition carve-out. The successful candidate will serve as the IT lead for a portfolio of business applications, partnering with business stakeholders, internal IT teams, and external vendors to ensure successful delivery of transition initiatives.

The ideal candidate is a proactive, experienced IT Project Manager who can quickly establish credibility with both business and technical stakeholders and effectively manage multiple concurrent initiatives. They are comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment, adapting their level of involvement based on project needs, and driving projects to successful outcomes. Experience with enterprise application implementations, vendor management, business requirements, and mergers, acquisitions, or carve-out activities is highly desirable.

Expected Deliverables:

·         Serve as the IT lead for an assigned portfolio of application transition initiatives, driving projects from planning through implementation while managing scope, timelines, risks, issues, and dependencies.

·         Partner with business stakeholders, vendors, and internal IT teams to define requirements, coordinate solution delivery, support vendor engagements (including SOWs and procurement activities), and ensure successful project execution.

Provide governance and executive-level project reporting while ensuring assigned initiatives are delivered on time, aligned with business objectives, and transitioned successfully into operational support

Key Responsibilities

·         Serve as the primary IT lead for an assigned portfolio of application transition and implementation initiatives.

·         Lead multiple concurrent projects, developing and managing project plans, timelines, risks, issues, dependencies, and key milestones to ensure successful delivery.

·         Partner with business stakeholders to understand business needs, facilitate requirements gathering, and align technology solutions with business objectives.

·         Coordinate cross-functional teams, including business partners, IT, vendors, and third-party consultants, to drive execution and resolve issues.

·         Support vendor engagement activities, including solution evaluation and Statement of Work (SOW) development.

·         Provide governance and oversight for both IT-led and business-led initiatives, ensuring adherence to project management standards and delivery expectations.

·         Communicate project status, risks, and key decisions to stakeholders and leadership, proactively escalating issues and recommending mitigation strategies.

·         Ensure successful implementation and transition of assigned applications into operational support, including appropriate documentation, testing, knowledge transfer, and project closeout.

Experience & Qualifications

·         5+ years of project management experience with a demonstrated record of successfully leading enterprise IT projects, application implementations, or technology transformation initiatives.

·         Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects across diverse teams and regions.

·         Strong business relationship management, communication, and facilitation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across business and technical teams.

·         Experience gathering and translating business requirements into actionable project plans and technology solutions.

·         Preferred: Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, or carve-out initiatives, particularly involving enterprise application transitions.
