SD-WAN Network Architect (Security Clearance required) - # 24-21963

Duration: 12-month contract

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Network Architect to design, implement, and optimize hybrid and multi-cloud network architectures across AWS, Azure, OCI, and private cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Cisco SD-WAN, cloud networking, routing, automation, and secure, scalable network design. This role also requires the ability to communicate architectural strategies and present technical solutions to both technical teams and business stakeholders.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement hybrid and multi-cloud network architectures across AWS, Azure, OCI, and private cloud environments.
• Lead Cisco SD-WAN architecture, deployment, and optimization across enterprise environments.
• Design secure and scalable connectivity using VPNs, private circuits, cloud on-ramps, and backbone routing.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation, or similar tools.
• Build highly available, resilient, and secure network solutions aligned with Zero Trust principles.
• Design routing, load balancing, and traffic engineering strategies for enterprise applications.
• Improve network observability using monitoring, telemetry, and analytics platforms.
• Develop network standards, architecture documentation, and best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network and cloud connectivity issues.
• Present and advocate architectural designs to technical and executive stakeholders.

 Required Skills

• 8-10+ years of enterprise networking experience with hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, OCI, and private cloud networking.
• Strong expertise in Cisco SD-WAN (vManage, vBond, vSmart, policies, templates).
• Advanced knowledge of BGP, OSPF, EVPN, routing, and WAN technologies.
• Experience with hybrid connectivity, cloud networking, VPNs, and private circuits.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation, or similar).
• Experience with network monitoring and observability tools such as SolarWinds.
• Knowledge of cloud security, segmentation, encryption, and Zero Trust architectures.
• Experience designing high-availability and fault-tolerant enterprise networks.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

 Desired Skills

• CCNP, Cisco SD-WAN Specialist, or cloud networking certifications.
• Experience with SASE and cloud firewall/NVA solutions.
• Experience supporting cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
• Knowledge of hybrid and multi-cloud DNS architectures.
• Familiarity with A10, AVI/NSX ALB, or cloud-native load balancers.
• Experience working in FedRAMP-compliant cloud environments.
