The Role

• Operate heavy machinery to load and unload shipping containers from railcars and trucks.
• Drive hostlers to position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard.
• Use specialized equipment like top loaders, side loaders, and cranes to manage container flow.
• Conduct pre- and post-operation inspections of equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
• Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate daily tasks and movements.
• Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to established protocols.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver's license is mandatory.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs and climbing.
• Open availability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong commitment to safety and meticulous attention to detail.
• Basic communication and teamwork skills.
• Previous experience operating heavy equipment in logistics or industrial settings is preferred.
