Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer with strong Microsoft Azure expertise to design, implement, secure, automate, and optimize scalable cloud environments. The ideal candidate will work closely with development, DevOps, security, and infrastructure teams while providing technical leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement secure, scalable, and highly available Azure cloud architectures.
- Lead cloud migration, modernization, and transformation initiatives.
- Deploy and manage Azure VMs, App Services, AKS, Functions, Storage, and networking services.
- Implement HA, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
- Build CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
- Automate infrastructure using Terraform, ARM Templates, or Bicep.
- Implement Azure security, IAM, RBAC, Key Vault, Defender for Cloud, and Sentinel.
- Design and manage VNets, NSGs, VPNs, ExpressRoute, Load Balancers, and Application Gateways.
- Monitor and optimize cloud performance, availability, and cost.
- Collaborate with development, QA, DevOps, and security teams.
- Mentor junior engineers and participate in architecture reviews.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of IT experience with 3+ years of hands-on Azure experience.
- Strong Azure Compute: VMs, AKS, App Services.
- Strong Azure Networking: VNet, NSG, VPN, ExpressRoute.
- Azure Storage: Blob, File, Disk.
- Azure Identity: Azure AD/Entra ID, RBAC.
- Terraform, ARM Templates, or Bicep.
- Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions.
- Docker and Kubernetes.
- PowerShell, Python, or Bash scripting.
- Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
- Strong cloud security, encryption, secrets management, and identity governance knowledge.
- Experience with DevOps automation, microservices, and APIs.
Preferred
- Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305).
- Azure Administrator (AZ-104).
- Azure DevOps Engineer (AZ-400).
- AWS/Google Cloud Platform or other multi-cloud experience.
- FinOps and cloud cost optimization experience.
- Enterprise-scale cloud transformation experience.
- Oil & Gas domain experience preferred.
Must be willing to work 100% onsite in Houston, TX.
