job summary:

We are hiring an SAP Record-to-Report (RTR) Financial Accounting Analyst to play a pivotal role in designing, migrating, and modernizing foundational accounting processes for a major SAP S/4HANA enterprise implementation. In this position, you will own critical functional areas across general ledger, sub-ledger integrations, and periodic close routines. You will partner closely with business leaders, data leads, and technical developers to analyze legacy accounting frameworks, translate complex requirements into target-state S/4HANA designs, and ensure flawless data integrity through every phase of testing, conversion, and cutover.

responsibilities:

Core RTR & General Ledger Expertise: Lead core functional delivery across chart of accounts, accounts payable/receivable integrations, fixed assets, intercompany transactions, financial reconciliations, and period-end close/reporting.

Requirements & Data Mapping: Analyze complex legacy financial data structures and design source-to-target data mapping rules aligned with future-state SAP S/4HANA design standards.

Data Migration & Conversion: Direct financial data validation, data conversion routines, and multi-system reconciliation to safeguard historical records and active balances.

Testing & Quality Assurance: Define test scenarios, lead functional and integration testing, support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and troubleshoot complex transactional issues prior to deployment.

Cutover & Cross-Functional Alignment: Support critical cutover execution while collaborating across business, data, functional, and technical teams to ensure seamless operational go-live readiness.

qualifications:

Experience: Minimum 8 years of hands-on SAP Finance experience (10-15 years strongly preferred).

Technical Proficiency: Proven hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance, with deep familiarity in legacy data extraction, conversion techniques, and modern SAP RTR configuration.

Domain Mastery: Exceptional functional knowledge of financial accounting processes, including AP/AR integration, asset accounting, intercompany processing, and global financial close procedures.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.

Certifications: None required; practical SAP project execution and subject-matter expertise are prioritized.

Work Structure: 100% Remote (U.S. based).

Schedule: 4-Day Workweek (10 hours/day, Eastern Time zone) - Fridays Off
