Job Description
Amazon is seeking an exceptional VAT Manager to join its VAT advisory team, supporting Amazon Business with a primary focus on B2B EU VAT and invoicing matters.
The successful candidate will be motivated to develop a deep understanding of Amazon’s business model and end-to-end systems, take full ownership of projects, deliver results under tight deadlines, and collaborate effectively across business, finance, and technology teams.
This is an office-based position with option to be based in either London or Manchester.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to translate complex VAT regulations into clear, practical requirements that are easy to understand and implement.
Additoinally, present with strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, with the ability to engage both tax and non-tax professionals effectively.
Key job responsibilities
- Support the planning, coordination, and communication of business initiatives with VAT and tax dependencies
- Identify and assess risks and opportunities, applying sound judgment to inform decisions with financial, operational, and customer impact
- Partner closely with finance, business, and technology teams, including preparing clear and appropriate documentation to support analyses, decisions, and conclusions
- Communicate effectively and influence cross-functional stakeholders
- Assist in engagements with external advisors and tax authorities
- Experience working in a large public accounting firm or multi-national corporate tax department
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level
- Knowledge of complex EU VAT regulations

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field- Experience working in a large public accounting firm or multi-national corporate tax department
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level
- Knowledge of complex EU VAT regulations
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
