Autonomous Systems Software Engineer with Security Clearance

Location: Reston, VA Security Clearance: US Citizen/Clearable We are seeking an experienced, highly productive Software Engineer to design and develop algorithms, simulations, and visualization tools for autonomous robotics. The ideal candidate will be passionate about cutting-edge technologies for prototype systems. You will engage in the full software process—from concept to design and demonstration—leading dynamic project teams and integrating innovative ideas from various fields. Required Qualifications • Bachelors degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering or related field  • At least 5 years of industry experience in advanced software development in a team environment  • Programming experience in C++ programming language • Experience developing plugins with modern Gazebo simulation software • Experience using one or more development tools • Experience writing algorithmic code, including complexity analysis, performance optimization, and multithreading  • US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED; Successful candidates will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information Desired Qualifications • Advanced degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, applied math, or related field  • Experience with Gazebo 11 and/or Gazebo Jetty • Significant experience programming in C++ 17 or later C++ version • Understanding of modeling vehicle motion (boats/submarines/aerial vehicles). • Experience in advanced algorithm integration and/or data analytics applications  • Experience with additional programming languages • Experience in software validation and testing • Experience in Probability/Statistics, Linear Algebra, Multivariate Calculus
