Field Service Engineer – Forklifts & Materials Handling

The RoleWe are seeking a motivated Field Service Engineer to cover customer sites across Rochester and the surrounding Kent area. Reporting to the Local Service Manager, you will work independently to carry out routine servicing, fault diagnosis, and emergency repairs on a range of materials handling equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults on customer and company fleet machinery.
  
  
• Complete routine servicing, maintenance, and emergency repairs safely on-site.
  
  
• Maintain clear communication with customers and ensure job documentation is accurately completed.
  
  

What We Are Looking For

• Technical Background: Proven experience working on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems within materials handling or similar industries (e.g., plant, agricultural, access equipment).
  
  
• Site Safety & Autonomy: Ability to work independently while prioritizing health and safety on site.
  
  
• Customer-Focused: Strong communication skills and a professional, positive attitude.
  
  
• Requirements: Full UK Driving Licence and relevant field service experience.
