Overview
This position provides expert technical guidance on large, complex, and strategic projects with significant impact. Facilitates the creation and implementation of software systems and software development. Consults and provides subject matter expertise on software evaluations, feasibility studies, and new technologies. Specializes in software development and integration with third party solutions, as a single point of contact with the third-party vendors. Recommends processes and products that meet strategic goals while aligning with the Bank's long-term technology direction.

Software Development Support - Facilitates software development through the creation of software utilities or other means to support effective software development activities/solutions. Evaluates software specifications to determine feasibility of use in particular infrastructures. Analyzes, presents, and implements necessary development and/or infrastructure changes.
Technical Expert - Maintains a strong knowledge of technology trends and impact on the Bank's infrastructure in order to provide relevant consultative guidance. Trains and mentors others on new technologies.
Consultation - Provides technical advice and direction to associates, management, and developmental project teams. Utilizes expertise to consult and develop software to solve complex technical problems.
Business Strategy - Advises on strategies that align developmental projects with long-term business needs and technological direction. Assists management in implementing initiatives or strategies across the division.
Position Specific Skills:
Advanced experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) or similar code repository system
Advanced experience with ServiceNow or other information technology service ticketing systems
Proven ability to resolve conflicting situations, in order to move process and people forward
Ability to be on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, on a rotating basis
In depth knowledge and experience with System Life Cycle Development methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile
Experience with programming languages such as Java, Microsoft.Net (C#), ASP.NET Cobol, SQL Scripting and Powershell Scripting
Qualifications:
Minimum Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree and 10 years' experience OR High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent and 14 years' experience in Software application development and maintenance
Preferred Education:Bachelors Degree
Preferred Area of Study:Computer Science
Preferred Area of Experience:Financial Services Industry; MS.NET; ASP.NET; SQL Scripting; Powershell Scripting

The base pay for this position is generally between $165,000 and $195,000. Preferred Qualifications
- Principal or Staff-level engineering experience.
- Deep hands-on expertise with Okta CIAM.
- Strong experience in banking or regulated financial services.
- Proven delivery of secure, customer-facing platforms at scale.
- Minimum 5-8 years experience with at least one major programming language (e.g. Java, Python, Go, etc.,).
- Strong understanding of fraud prevention, risk-based authentication, and secure digital journeys .
- Experience working within agile, product-aligned delivery models .
- Familiarity with regulatory, audit, and operational risk expectations.
- Strong CIAM and fraud-aware identity design expertise.
- Deep understanding of Okta architecture and configuration concepts.
- OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML.
- Fraud signal integration and risk-based decisioning.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, event-driven architectures.
- Experience of Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
