We are looking for a skilled Senior Software Engineer with embedded development experience to join our Space and RF Sensors team in El Segundo, CA. * Raytheon El Segundo, CA Location What You Will Do: * As a member of the team, you will work with cutting-edge technology and contribute to programs that safeguard lives and uphold the freedoms we cherish. * Responsible for some or all of a Software product, contributing as a software team member and possibly leading a small software team.
* Responsibilities spanning the full lifecycle of product development, from architecture and design, through integration, test, and field support. Qualifications You Must Have: * Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 5 years of relevant software experience.
* Experience in programming languages such as C++, Java, Python or similar.
* Experience across SDLC including software integration & testing, and debugging tools.
* Experience using version control tools like Git.
* Able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance as and when required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Qualifications We Prefer: * Proven self-motivated problem solver who can look at a situation, identify gaps or issues, and take initiative to resolve them (technically, with process, and with documentation)
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
* Proficiency with Object-Oriented Design (OOD) principles and practices.
* Proficiency with Agile lifecycle process including Scrum, Continuous Integration and Test-Driven Development Methodologies
* Experience developing on Red Hat Linux or equivalent OS
* Knowledge of DevSecOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and secure software development methodologies
* Experience leveraging Generative AI and Machine Learning to improve productivity, collaboration, and performance
* Experience with gRPC and Protobufs
* Experience with Linux, VxWorks, INTEGRITY, or other RTOS
* Familiarity with Open Systems Architectures and modular design principles.

The salary range for this role is 95,500 USD - 181,700 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
