The Transfer Agency department provides a third party fund administration service to numerous fund management companies covering the full range of shareholder servicing functions including dealing, registration, finance and investor services. In 2024, the Northern Trust Luxembourg office celebrated their 20th anniversary, an important chapter in their history. Having opened in 2004 to support one client, they have since grown their client base substantially and increased their headcount significantly, which now stands at over 400.

Transfer Agency is a growing department based over Luxembourg and India. It's a fast paced environment offering all partners excellent opportunities to grow their careers.
The key responsibilities of the role include
- Operates under general supervision but works on own most of the time.
- You need to have good organisational skills to prioritise your day, the team's priorities and plan the in-time delivery of the FATCA & CRS related tasks
- Technically competent to act as first point of reference for day-to-day queries, and serves as a liaison to related areas.
- Has both broad and in-depth knowledge in chosen field, plus strong knowledge of related areas.
- Carries out relatively complex, extensive, high profile activities e.g. direct interaction with committees and more senior management.
- Demonstrates excellent analytical, consultative, communication and judgment skills.
- May lead projects and/or train lower-level staff.
- Focuses on maintenance and implementation of policies and procedures in the function, building towards becoming an area expert.
The successful candidate will benefit from having:
- Good project management and communication skills and have strong working knowledge of the firm, the industry and technology
- Sound knowledge of Transfer Agency duties ideally in a similar role and of financial markets
- Experience in a similar role or equivalent for at least 3 years
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
- Good understanding MS Office
- Attention to detail and focus on quality (working with accuracy)
