Job description

At Weave, we’re building the operating system for small healthcare practices — powering communication, payments, and now AI-driven experiences for thousands of businesses and millions of patients.

We are looking for a passionate Mobile Developer to join our fully remote mobile engineering team in India. In this role, you will help build scalable, fast, and visually engaging mobile applications for both iOS and Android platforms from a single codebase. You will collaborate closely with product designers, backend teams, and senior developers to deliver features that directly impact our users' day-to-day operations.

Our ideal candidate takes initiative without waiting for direction. They care deeply about customer impact as much as clear architecture and enjoys resolving ambiguity and influencing technical decisions. We’re excited to bring in talent that wants to elevate engineers around them.

If you’re excited by meaningful ownership, technical influence, and building products that power real-world businesses — you’ll thrive at Weave.

  • This role is remote within India

  • This role reports to the Engineering Manager

    What you will own

    • Build Features: Develop smooth, cross-platform UI components for both iOS and Android using Flutter and Dart.

    • Integrate Systems: Connect our mobile application to backend APIs and handle local data management efficiently.

    • Code Maintenance: Write clean, readable, and maintainable code following team standards.

    • Ensure Quality: Write reliable unit, widget and integration tests to keep our application stable and crash-free and ensure multi-component interactions and workflows operate seamlessly.

    • Bug Fixing: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs and performance bottlenecks reported by support teams or users.

    • Collaborate: Partner closely with product managers, designers, and senior engineers within an Agile framework to bring ideas to life. Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and code reviews. Actively seek feedback and learn from senior mobile engineers.

    • Pair Programming & Learning: Participate in regular pair programming sessions and code reviews with senior developers to accelerate your technical growth and master engineering best practices.

    • Optimize: Debug, troubleshoot, and fine-tune application performance across a wide variety of devices and screen sizes.
What You Will Need to Accomplish the Job

      • 2-3 years of professional mobile development experience focusing on Flutter and Dart.

      • Strong grasp of modern state management solutions (e.g., Riverpod, BLoC, or Provider).

      • Solid experience integrating RESTful APIs and utilizing local databases (SQLite/Hive).

      • Proficiency with Git version control, pull requests, and standard code review processes and ticketing systems.

      • A keen eye for UI/UX details, animations, and responsive design.

      • Strong communication skills to thrive in a highly collaborative, remote-first team.

      • Prior exposure to native iOS (Swift) or Android (Kotlin) development is a major plus.

      • Basic familiarity with how mobile applications work under the hood and how to handle app lifecycles.

      • Understanding of fundamental mobile app architecture concepts to help write clean, organized code.

      • Eagerness to learn, adapt, and grow in a fast-paced environment.

      • Market awareness and curiosity to keep up to date with mobile industry trends.

      • Awareness of modern developer productivity tools and AI development tools.

What will make us love you

      • Experience building a world class mobile application.

      • Good knowledge of idiomatic Dart, Swift or Kotlin languages and Flutter framework.

      • Experience with Flutter state management patterns such as BloC, Cubit, or similar libraries.

      • Experience with Sentry, SQLite/Hive, Firebase, GitHub (or similar tools and frameworks).

      • Experience performance benchmarking and tuning.

      • Understanding of how mobile systems are deployed, monitored, and operated in production.
