Role : AWS Data Engineer – Banking/Financial Services

Location: Naperville, IL –3 days in a week Hybrid (Need Locals/Near by states)
Industry: Banking / Financial Services

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines on AWS.
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT processes using AWS services.
• Develop data processing solutions using Python and PySpark.
• Work with Amazon S3, AWS Glue, Redshift, EMR, Lambda, Athena, and other AWS services.
• Write complex SQL queries and optimize data processing and performance.
• Integrate data from multiple internal and external sources.
• Develop and maintain data lakes, data warehouses, and data models.
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks.
• Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, developers, and other stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot data pipeline and production issues.
• Follow security, compliance, and data governance standards applicable to the banking/financial services industry.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, code reviews, testing, and deployment activities.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS.
• Strong Python and SQL skills.
• Experience with PySpark / Apache Spark.
• Experience with AWS Glue, S3, Redshift, EMR, and Athena.
• Strong experience developing ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience with data warehousing and data lake concepts.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Banking, financial services, fintech, or insurance industry experience preferred/required.
