-SQL Server DBA
-Remote, but must be based in Scotland
-Daily Rate - £360 via umbrella
-12 months initial contract
-ASAP Start
Brand new, long-term contract opportunity to the market for a seasoned SQL Server DBA, working on a large-scale project for our public sector client. You will work on a long-term programme of work, designed to upgrade the current digital technology estate - with the anticipated length of this contract up to a maximum of 3 years.
This is a remote role; however, candidates must be based in Scotland due to the nature of the assignment. Candidates must also be able to achieve and maintain NPPV3 and Security Clearance (SC).
Responsibilities:
- Proven expertise in a Database Administrator role (SQL Server)
- Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain database systems and solutions
- Provide expert technical guidance to colleagues, stakeholders and customers
- Support database systems to ensure availability, performance and SLA compliance
- Manage database security, integrity, and compliance with data standards.
- Develop, implement, and maintain backup and disaster recovery procedures
- Deploy and configure database solutions into live production environments
- Support databases and associated tools throughout their full lifecycle.
- Contribute to database strategy, standards and technology recommendations
