Brand new, long-term contract opportunity to the market for a seasoned SQL Server DBA, working on a large-scale project for our public sector client. You will work on a long-term programme of work, designed to upgrade the current digital technology estate - with the anticipated length of this contract up to a maximum of 3 years.

This is a remote role; however, candidates must be based in Scotland due to the nature of the assignment. Candidates must also be able to achieve and maintain NPPV3 and Security Clearance (SC).

Responsibilities:

• Proven expertise in a Database Administrator role (SQL Server)
• Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain database systems and solutions
• Provide expert technical guidance to colleagues, stakeholders and customers
• Support database systems to ensure availability, performance and SLA compliance
• Manage database security, integrity, and compliance with data standards.
• Develop, implement, and maintain backup and disaster recovery procedures
• Deploy and configure database solutions into live production environments
• Support databases and associated tools throughout their full lifecycle.
• Contribute to database strategy, standards and technology recommendations
