Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer South London, Kent borders – Flexible Working Salary £40k to £50k – DOE Mechanical Design Engineer / Building Services / MEP / Consultancy / Senior Mechanical Design Engineer This role is to join a thriving practice of mechanical and electrical building services design engineers, they cover a range of projects in sectors including pharmaceutical, education, industrial, financial, hotels, leisure health and residential. You will be a mechanical design engineer at either intermediate level and upon joining will become part of a highly supportive team environment where you’ll feel like a trusted, valued professional and colleague from day one. You will be offered an ongoing commitment to training and your personal improvement and development. Responsibilities – Mechanical Design Engineer

  • Design, manage and supervise projects
  • Produce drawings and specifications.
  • Carry out concept design to detailed design through to tender and completion.
  • Attend project progress meetings.
  • Maintain client and design team relationships.
  • Have a strong awareness of low carbon design.
  • Manage projects from inception through to completion. Experience Required
  • Proven experience as a mechanical design engineer within building services.
  • Preferably degree qualified.
  • A desire to become chartered would be beneficial.
  • Experience in the design of health projects would be beneficial
  • Knowledge of British Standards.
  • Excellent communication and written skills
