This is not a regular DevOps Engineer position. The client is specifically looking for a Platform Builder / Greenfield DevSecOps Engineer who has architected and implemented DevSecOps platforms from scratch, not someone who has only maintained Jenkins pipelines or supported Kubernetes clusters.
Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior DevSecOps Platform Engineer to lead the design and implementation of a modern DevSecOps platform from the ground up. This role is ideal for an engineer with hands-on expertise in building secure CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure, implementing container platforms, and integrating security throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
Responsibilities
  • Design and implement enterprise DevSecOps platforms from scratch.
  • Build and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
  • Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
  • Deploy and manage Kubernetes/OpenShift container platforms.
  • Configure Docker-based container environments.
  • Implement security controls, including SAST, DAST, vulnerability scanning, and secrets management.
  • Support PostgreSQL databases and Apache Kafka integrations.
  • Automate infrastructure and operational processes using Python and Bash.
  • Deploy monitoring, logging, and observability solutions.
  • Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and security teams to improve platform reliability and security.
  • Troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines, deployments, and infrastructure issues.
  • Create technical documentation and mentor junior engineers.
Required Skills
  • 10+ years of DevOps/DevSecOps or Platform Engineering experience.
  • Strong experience building DevSecOps platforms from scratch.
  • Expertise with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform.
  • Strong Kubernetes and OpenShift experience.
  • Docker containerization.
  • Security tools including SAST, DAST, vulnerability scanning, and secrets management.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL and Apache Kafka.
  • Strong Python and Bash scripting skills.
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK.
  • Experience working with on-premises bare-metal infrastructure.
Preferred Skills
  • GitOps (ArgoCD or FluxCD)
  • SonarQube, Checkmarx, Trivy, Prisma, HashiCorp Vault
  • Enterprise Platform Engineering experience
  • Experience designing secure, scalable DevSecOps architectures
