The Role

• Operate specialized heavy equipment (hostlers, cranes, top loaders, side loaders) to safely load, unload, and move shipping containers.
• Transport containers and chassis within the intermodal yard using hostler vehicles.
• Stack, organize, and relocate containers according to operational needs and safety protocols.
• Conduct pre- and post-operation inspections of equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
• Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate daily tasks and container movements.
• Strictly adhere to established safety procedures and protocols to maintain a secure work environment.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position.
• Prior experience operating heavy machinery or equipment in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to pass background verification, physical, and drug screening.
