Senior Platform Engineer
Lawrence Harvey are working exclusively with a well-funded, venture-backed aerospace technology company is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to help build the infrastructure that powers mission-critical simulation and testing environments for next-generation autonomous systems.

Working as part of a highly collaborative engineering team, you'll design and build the internal platform that enables developers to rapidly develop, deploy, and validate software running on complex hardware systems. This is a high-impact role focused on improving engineering velocity through scalable infrastructure, automation, and modern platform tooling.
What You'll Be Doing

• Design, deploy, and maintain infrastructure supporting large-scale simulation and testing environments.
• Build internal developer platforms and self-service tooling to streamline engineering workflows.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions to automate provisioning and deployment.
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines to accelerate software delivery and improve reliability.
• Deploy and manage containerized workloads using modern orchestration platforms.
• Partner closely with software, systems, and hardware engineers to improve development, testing, and release processes.
• Manage cloud infrastructure, networking, and platform reliability across engineering environments.
• Help build scalable systems that support software-in-the-loop (SIL), hardware-in-the-loop (HIL), and other advanced simulation workflows.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, Infrastructure Engineering, or Software Engineering.
• Strong Linux systems administration experience.
• Experience with Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar scripting languages.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or similar tooling.
• Experience working with AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or other cloud infrastructure platforms.
• Strong understanding of networking, automation, and scalable infrastructure design.

Nice to Have

• Experience supporting embedded systems or robotics environments.
• Experience with software-in-the-loop (SIL) or hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing.
• Familiarity with high-performance computing (HPC) environments.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
• Experience supporting real-time Linux environments.
