Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced, analytical, and strategic Senior Manager - Budget & Accounts to oversee financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and accounting operations. In this role, you will lead the annual budgeting cycle, monitor financial performance against targets, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and provide actionable financial insights to senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Budgeting & Financial Planning (FP&A)
- Lead the end-to-end annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning process.
- Develop financial models to support business scenarios, cost structures, and investment decisions.
- Conduct monthly budget vs. actual variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.
- Partner with business leaders to establish operational KPIs and manage departmental budgets.
Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closing activities.
- Prepare financial statements (Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, and Cash Flow) in compliance with GAAP/IFRS.
- Ensure proper maintenance of general ledgers, fixed asset registers, accounts payable/receivable, and intercompany transactions.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and treasury operations.
Internal Controls, Audit & Compliance
- Develop and maintain robust internal financial controls.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors and regulatory authorities.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory requirements, and corporate governance standards.
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team.
- Drive process improvements and ERP-based automation initiatives.
- Present financial reviews, forecasts, and risk assessments to senior leadership.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration. CA, CPA, or CMA qualification preferred.
- Experience: 15+ years of progressive experience in Financial Accounting and FP&A, including 5-8 years in a managerial role.
- ERP Knowledge: Hands-on experience with ERP platforms such as SAP, Tally, NetSuite, Workday, or similar systems.
Required Skills
- Advanced financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards and statutory compliance.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Experience working in a multi-industry conglomerate environment is preferred.
