Job Description
Role Overview
In this role, you will own the end-to-end life cycle of enterprise data products, working closely with business stakeholders, architects, engineers, and delivery teams to define product vision, prioritise requirements, and ensure successful delivery. You will drive product strategy, governance, and continuous improvement while ensuring data products deliver measurable business value.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the life cycle of enterprise data products from discovery through to delivery, release, and continuous improvement.
- Define product vision, roadmap, priorities, and backlog in collaboration with business and technical stakeholders.
- Gather and translate business requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.
- Work closely with Data Engineers, Architects, Developers, and Analysts to deliver high-quality data products.
- Support the implementation of modern Data Products and Data Fabric solutions.
- Coordinate product testing, release planning, deployment, and transition into production.
- Monitor product performance through KPIs and identify opportunities for optimisation and innovation.
- Produce product documentation and ensure adherence to governance, quality, and security standards.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Data Product Owner, Product Owner, or Data Delivery Lead.
- Strong experience delivering and managing enterprise Data Products.
- Experience working with Data Fabric or modern cloud-based data platforms.
- Strong requirements gathering, backlog management, and Agile/Scrum delivery experience.
- Experience managing products through the full delivery life cycle.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong documentation, governance, and process management capability.
- Experience within utilities, energy, infrastructure, or cloud data environments is beneficial.
Contract Details
- Duration: Initial 6 months
- Location: Warwick/Hybrid (2-3 days onsite)
- Rate: £350/day (inside)
