About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic, result-oriented Senior Manager - Business Development to drive our corporate client acquisition and partnership strategy for Non-Employee Benefits (Non-EB) Commercial Insurance lines.

Based out of our HSR Layout office in Bangalore, you will be the face of the company to prospective corporate clients and strategic partners. This role demands a high-energy professional with a solid background in General Insurance who can independently navigate complex B2B sales cycles, pitch to CXOs, and structure tailored risk-management solutions.


Key Responsibilities

  • New Client Acquisition & BD: Hunt and acquire new corporate/commercial accounts, focusing strictly on Non-EB portfolios including Liability, Property, Casualty, and Marine Insurance.
  • CXO Engagement: Initiate, build, and nurture strong relationships with CXO's of mid-to-large-scale enterprises.
  • Partnership & Alliances: Identify, pitch, and seal strategic business partnerships to create sustainable pipelines for commercial insurance distribution.
  • Account Management: Manage and grow newly acquired accounts during the on boarding and initial renewal cycles, ensuring top-tier service delivery and maximum wallet share.
  • Consultative Selling: Understand client risk profiles, coordinate with internal technical placement/underwriting teams to structure optimal risk-placement pricing, solutions, and deliver high-impact presentations.


What We Are Looking For

  • Industry Experience: 4-5 years of hard-core business development, client acquisition, or partnership management experience strictly within the General Insurance / Insurance Broking industry.
  • Product Expertise: Strong conceptual and market knowledge of commercial lines of insurance (Property, Liability/Financial Lines, Casualty, and Marine).
  • Communication & Presentation: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. You should be highly polished and confident in presenting complex pitches to C-suite executives.
  • Network & Pedigree: A proven track record of handling B2B corporate sales and managing long-term institutional relationships in the Bangalore market.
  • Education: Graduate / Post Graduate (MBA in Sales/Marketing or Insurance-specific qualifications.
