Job Description

The client is seeking a Technical Project & Billing Operations Manager to support a newly established Groups & Events organization. This is a hands-on role combining Technical Project Management, Billing Operations, Process Improvement, and Process Documentation.The initial focus will be approximately 60% Billing/Process Management and 40% Technical Project Management, with the balance expected to shift toward Technical PM as the billing process stabilizes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage technology workstreams within larger business programs, coordinating Product, Technology, Integrations, vendors, dependencies, risks, and timelines.
  • Take ownership of an existing billing process supporting ~500 hotels, with expected growth to ~7,000 hotels over the next 24 months.
  • Analyze, improve, document, and establish a repeatable and scalable billing process.
  • Initially run the billing process hands-on, including validating billing information, preparing billing files, reconciliation, discrepancy resolution, and maintaining trackers/documentation.
  • Develop SOPs, process maps, workflows, templates, and controls.
  • Coordinate with Product, Technology, Finance, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Support technical readiness activities including integrations, testing, environments, and deployments.
  • Provide project/status reporting and independently drive assigned workstreams.

Note: This role does not generate invoices or process invoices through PeopleSoft/financial systems. The individual determines what should be billed and prepares the required information for the billing team.

Required Qualifications

  • 5–10 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong Technical/IT Project Management experience.
  • Experience with process improvement, process documentation, and operational execution.
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of an existing process, improve it, document it, and operate it.
  • Strong Excel skills including lookups, pivot tables, reconciliation, and data validation.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with limited direction.

Preferred

  • Billing, revenue operations, financial operations, reconciliation, or commercial operations experience.
  • SaaS, enterprise technology, product, or systems integration experience.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, or Planview.
  • Hospitality / hotel / Sales & Catering / Groups & Events experience is a plus, not required.
