NET Developer/ Greenfield

We're looking for a mid-level .NET Developer to join a growing team building a greenfield application within a tech-for-good organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to shape a product from the ground up while contributing to meaningful, purpose-driven work that has a positive societal impact.

Working as part of a collaborative, forward-thinking engineering team, you'll help design and deliver scalable, modern solutions using .NET and microservices architecture.

Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain high-quality applications using C# and .NET<br />Contribute to the architecture and development of a microservices-based system<br />Apply strong object-oriented programming principles, including polymorphism and clean code practices<br />Help build and optimise infrastructure-as-code (IaC) environments<br />Work closely with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines<br />Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver features<br />Contribute to technical decisions in a greenfield environment<br />Ensure code quality through testing, reviews, and best practicesRequired Skills &amp; Experience Solid experience developing with C# and modern .NET (Core / .NET 6+)<br />Strong understanding of microservices architecture<br />Good knowledge of object-oriented programming principles, particularly polymorphism<br />Experience with databases (SQL and/or NoSQL)<br />Exposure to infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, ARM, Bicep, or similar)<br />Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)<br />Comfortable working in agile development environmentsDesirable Skills Experience working on greenfield projects<br />Cloud platform experience (e.g., Azure, AWS)<br />Knowledge of containerisation (Docker / Kubernetes)<br />Passion or interest in tech-for-good initiativesBenefits Hybrid working: 3 days in office North of Newcastle (free parking) , 2 days from home<br />Flexible working hours and strong work-life balance<br />28 days holiday + bank holidays<br />12% employer pension contribution<br />Opportunity to work on a purpose-driven product with real-world impact<br />Collaborative, inclusive, and modern working environmentWhy Join?
