Senior ServiceNow Developer – Platform & UI Development

ob Summary

We are seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer with extensive experience in platform engineering, application customization, and advanced UI development. The candidate should be capable of designing scalable ServiceNow solutions, developing reusable components, optimizing application performance, and guiding other developers on technical implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain complex ServiceNow applications and platform solutions.
• Lead UI development initiatives using Service Portal, UI Builder, configurable workspaces, and custom components.
• Develop advanced client-side and server-side scripts using JavaScript and ServiceNow APIs.
• Create reusable UI components and enhance user experiences through responsive and accessible interfaces.
• Implement Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Flow Designer workflows, and integrations.
• Design and implement REST API integrations with internal and external applications.
• Analyze complex technical requirements and recommend scalable, maintainable solutions.
• Troubleshoot production issues, optimize performance, and ensure code quality and platform stability.
• Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and establish development best practices.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, and cross-functional teams throughout the development lifecycle.

Required Skills

• Extensive hands-on experience in ServiceNow platform development and application customization.
• Strong expertise in ServiceNow UI development, particularly UI Builder, Service Portal, Workspace, or custom UI components.
• Advanced JavaScript skills, including asynchronous programming, event handling, and reusable code design.
• Strong knowledge of ServiceNow client-side and server-side APIs, including GlideRecord, GlideAjax, GlideForm, and GlideSystem.
• Experience with complex scripting, Business Rules, Script Includes, ACLs, and application security.
• Experience designing and implementing REST API integrations.
• Strong understanding of application architecture, performance optimization, debugging, and deployment practices.
• Ability to independently translate complex business requirements into technical solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) or other relevant ServiceNow certifications.
• Experience with modern ServiceNow UI technologies, including Now Experience UI Framework and UI Builder.
• Experience with IntegrationHub, Flow Designer, and scoped application development.
• Experience leading technical delivery, mentoring developers, and participating in solution design discussions.
