DatamanUSA is looking for a Manufacturing Technician 2 for our direct client based in AZ. This is a great opportunity for someone who is a quick learner with excellent people skills.
Job Details:
Job Title: Manufacturing Technician 2
Location: Mesa, AZ
Duration: 6 months
Roles & Responsibilities:
Perform manufacturing assembly of subassemblies and top-level gun system assemblies.
Execute assembly operations in both team-based and independent work environments.
Work closely with engineers during setup, calibration, and testing activities.
Conduct rework activities and quality inspections as required.
Follow detailed operating procedures and manufacturing work instructions.
Collect, document, and maintain production and quality-related data.
Utilize precision measuring equipment to verify positioning and assembly accuracy.
Operate industrial equipment such as cranes and forklifts as required.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
Participate in continuous improvement efforts focused on safety, quality, cost, and schedule performance.
Support manufacturing operations while ensuring compliance with established procedures and standards.
Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Minimum 2 years of experience working on manufacturing assemblies.
Experience performing assembly operations in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Ability to follow detailed operating procedures and work instructions.
Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately collect and record production data.
Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 40 lbs.
Willingness to work overtime and weekends as required.
Ability to obtain coverage under the Safe Explosive Act as an employee possessor/responsible person upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications
Mechanical assembly or manufacturing background.
Experience reading engineering prints and assembly drawings.
Experience with Costpoint, MES, or similar manufacturing systems.
Experience working in aerospace, defense, or highly regulated manufacturing environments.
