Database Engineer (Editorial Magazine)

A conservative media organization is seeking a Data Engineer to join its team in an onsite role in Arlington, VA. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in database administration and data engineering, with a background in managing production databases, building data pipelines, and supporting reporting and analytics initiatives. Experience with PostgreSQL, SQL, Python, ETL processes, data replication, and reporting tools is wanted, and prior work with AWS RDS, Snowflake, CRM platforms, AI coding agents, and cloud-based data environments is preferred Required Skills & Experience

• 3-5 years of database administration or data engineering experience
• PostgreSQL database administration and optimization
• SQL, reporting, and data analysis
• ETL processes and data replication
• Python scripting and automation
• Building reports and dashboards
• AWS RDS or similar managed database platforms
• AI coding agents and workflow automation
• Git and version control practices
• Strong communication and stakeholder-facing skills
