Job Description
  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for Guidewire implementations, enhancements, and system improvements.
  • Work closely with underwriters, product managers, policy operations teams, business users, and technical teams to understand business needs, project scope, and objectives.
  • Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications, workflows, user stories, and acceptance criteria aligned with Guidewire modules.
  • Analyze and document PolicyCenter processes, including submissions, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, reinstatements, and other policy lifecycle activities.
  • Support product and rating configuration by analyzing lines of business, coverages, exclusions, rating rules, and rate tables.
  • Define data mapping and integration requirements between PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter, and external or third-party systems.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure business requirements are properly translated into functional and technical solutions.
  • Prepare and maintain process flows, business requirements documents, functional specifications, and other project documentation.
  • Support UAT planning and execution by preparing test scenarios, validating expected results, and coordinating with QA teams.
  • Participate in defect identification, analysis, tracking, and resolution throughout the testing lifecycle.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and user story demonstrations.
  • Work with stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve functional or business-related issues.
  • Apply strong knowledge of Property & Casualty insurance concepts, including coverages, deductibles, underwriting workflows, and policy lifecycle processes.
  • Demonstrate hands-on experience working as a Business Analyst on Guidewire Insurance Suite projects.
  • Use tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Visio or similar process-mapping applications for requirements, project tracking, collaboration, and process documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with business stakeholders, technical teams, QA teams, and project leadership.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure requirements and project documentation remain clear, accurate, and up to date.
