DB2 Systems Programmer

We are seeking a DB2 Systems Programmer experienced with installation, customization, troubleshooting and day-to-day support of DB2 subsystems in a z/OS environment.     Although DBA (logical / physical) skills are not required, it would certainly be classified as a nice to have.

Please note - we are NOT looking for application programmers who have DB2 experience.  We are specifically looking for DB2 Systems Programming skills.

Position is expected to be 100% remote.

Required Skills:

• DB2 Systems Programming (installation, diagnosis, upgrades, performance measurement, tuning, etc)
• Excellent DB2 troubleshooting skills
• Excellent written communication skills
• Excellent customer-facing skills

Required Experience:

• 7-10 years of DB2 Systems Programming experience
• SMPE (subsystem and program product) experience
• DB2 tools
• Standard z/OS utilities
• Proven problem determination skills

Screening Requirements: Must be able to pass 7 year criminal backgroud check and drug screen.

Rate Details: Rate DOE but will generally fall within a range of $65 - $75 per hour on 1099 for standard and overtime hours.
