Senior PLM Windchill Solution Architect

Location: Preferred – Warsaw, IN; open to candidates nationwide
Work Mode: Client Site / Remote with Travel
Employment Type: FTE / Subcontract

Travel: Candidates must be willing to travel to the client location initially and occasionally thereafter, based on project milestones.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of PLM Windchill solutions.
• Define scalable and robust PLM architecture aligned with business and technical requirements.
• Provide technical leadership throughout the complete Windchill implementation lifecycle.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective Windchill-based solutions.
• Design and oversee integrations between Windchill and other enterprise applications.
• Lead solution design for PLM processes, workflows, data models, configurations, and customizations.
• Provide guidance on Windchill upgrades, enhancements, performance, scalability, and optimization.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and project leadership.
• Establish architectural standards, best practices, and technical governance for Windchill implementations.
• Troubleshoot complex architectural and technical issues and provide appropriate solutions.
• Support project planning, technical estimations, and implementation strategies.
• Ensure solutions follow enterprise architecture, security, compliance, and industry standards.
• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to Windchill developers and implementation teams.

Required Qualifications

• Strong, proven architect-level experience with PTC Windchill PLM.
• Extensive experience designing and implementing enterprise PLM solutions.
• Strong understanding of Windchill architecture, configuration, customization, workflows, and integrations.
• Experience with PLM solution architecture, technical design, and enterprise application integration.
• Strong understanding of PLM business processes and product lifecycle management.
• Experience working with cross-functional business and technical teams.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel to the Warsaw, IN client location initially and occasionally thereafter based on project requirements.

Preferred Industry Experience

Candidates with experience supporting PLM solutions in one or more of the following industries are strongly preferred:

• Life Sciences
• Pharmaceutical
• Healthcare / Medical Devices
• Automotive
• Aeronautics / Aerospace

Additional Preferred Skills

• Experience with enterprise PLM transformation initiatives.
• Experience integrating Windchill with ERP, MES, CAD, or other enterprise platforms.
• Experience with Windchill upgrades, migrations, and modernization initiatives.
• Strong understanding of PLM data, product structures, change management, workflows, and document management.
• Experience working in large, complex enterprise environments.
