Agile Scrum Master / Delivery Lead (Minerva) Orange 1
Rate: 450- 500
Clearance Required: BPSS
Duration: 6 months
Location: Telford - 2 days onsite per week
Job Description:

Responsible for the end-to-end delivery of projects and product enhancements, ensuring milestones, dependencies, risks, and deliverables are effectively managed throughout the delivery lifecycle. The role involves maintaining delivery plans, managing RAID logs, providing regular status reporting, and driving successful outcomes across multiple stakeholder groups.

The successful candidate will facilitate Agile delivery practices, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, demonstrations, and retrospectives, ensuring teams remain focused on priorities and delivery commitments. They will manage team workloads and progress through Jira, monitor delivery performance, and proactively address risks, issues, and dependencies.
Working collaboratively with stakeholders across HMRC and HMRC Digital Platform Services (DPS), the role requires strong communication and relationship management skills to ensure alignment, transparency, and effective decision-making. The individual will also ensure compliance with delivery governance processes, including release management and RFC activities, while driving continuous improvement initiatives alongside Service Delivery Managers and wider delivery teams.
The role will support services through Live Service Acceptance and transition into operational support, ensuring solutions are delivered, deployed, and embedded successfully into live service environments.

Summary of responsibilities:

  • Own end-to-end (E2E) delivery
  • Manage/update the E2E delivery & milestone plan for the scenario
  • Manage/update RAID
  • Complete weekly delivery status reports
  • Conduct sprint ceremonies:
  • Daily stand-ups
  • Sprint planning
  • Sprint review/demo
  • Sprint retrospectives
  • Manage team work in Jira

Ensure processes are followed, e.g. release management/RFCs, working closely and collaboratively with Service Delivery Managers (SDMs), appropriately iterating these processes through collaborative continuous improvement for cross-department benefit
Work through Live Service Acceptance and support transition to live.
