The Role • Operate specialized heavy equipment, such as hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders, to move shipping containers. • Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks efficiently and safely. • Relocate and stack containers within the intermodal yard according to logistics plans. • Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality. • Coordinate with yard personnel and supervisors to manage daily tasks and container movements. • Adhere to established safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure work environment. What You'll Need • A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position. • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs and climbing ladders/stairs. • Open availability for work, including nights, weekends, and holidays. • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to workplace safety. • Basic communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team. • Experience operating heavy machinery or in a logistics environment is preferred.
