Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Atlan Platform Specialist to support a long-term dedicated engagement for a leading enterprise customer. This is a hands-on technical role where you'll become deeply embedded in the client's data environment, providing day-to-day Atlan platform support, metadata management, lineage analysis, troubleshooting, and governance expertise.

This is not a project-based consulting role. We are looking for someone who can act as a trusted technical partner, respond to ad-hoc requests, and work independently in a fast-paced cloud data ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on administration and support for the Atlan Data Catalog platform.
• Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize Atlan features including metadata enrichment, lineage, connectors, and governance workflows.
• Investigate data lineage, trace upstream/downstream dependencies, and resolve metadata gaps.
• Navigate complex Google Cloud Platform/BigQuery data environments, including medallion architecture and data marts.
• Support metadata ingestion and connector configurations across enterprise data platforms.
• Work closely with business and engineering teams to answer lineage and metadata-related questions.
• Support Power BI metadata integration, scanner APIs, and workspace permissions.
• Assist with Airflow observability and lineage integration.
• Evaluate and support Conversational AI capabilities within Atlan for metadata discovery.
• Provide ongoing production support and serve as the first point of contact for Atlan-related issues.
• Prioritize multiple ad-hoc requests while working independently in an asynchronous environment.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Data Governance, Metadata Management, or Data Catalog platforms.
• Strong hands-on experience with Atlan Platform.
• Experience configuring:
  • Metadata Enrichment
  • Data Lineage
  • Connectors
  • Classification & Governance
  • Catalog Administration
• Strong knowledge of Google Cloud Platform and BigQuery.
• Experience with modern Data Lake/Data Warehouse architectures and Medallion Architecture.
• Practical experience with enterprise data governance and lineage solutions.
• Hands-on experience integrating Power BI with metadata platforms.
• Familiarity with Airflow observability and lineage integration.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting enterprise-scale metadata platforms.
• Knowledge of cloud-native data ecosystems.
• Experience with enterprise data governance initiatives.
• Exposure to AI-powered metadata discovery or Conversational AI within Atlan.
• Consulting or customer-facing experience is a plus.
