Enterprise AI Architect — Claude Rollout Lead 

Engagement: Part-time initially, scaling to full-time for the 2 to 3 month rollout 

Reports to: Client CIO sponsor

Role Summary 

Lead the enterprise-wide rollout of Claude (Anthropic) across an entire organization, spanning both business and IT teams. This role owns the architecture, governance, and adoption framework end to end, from pilot through scaled deployment, ensuring the platform is secure, compliant, and embraced by users. 

Key Responsibilities 

Architecture and Deployment 

• Design the reference architecture for enterprise Claude deployment across API, Claude Enterprise, Claude Code, and integrations. 

• Define identity, single sign-on, data residency, and access patterns across business and IT functions. 

• Architect retrieval, MCP connectors, and integration with existing enterprise systems such as data platforms, ITSM, and collaboration tools. 

Governance and Guardrails 

• Establish the AI governance framework, including acceptable-use policies, prompt and output controls, data classification, and PII handling. 

• Implement guardrails, content filtering, audit logging, and usage monitoring. 

• Define model usage policies, cost governance, and responsible-AI controls aligned to regulatory requirements. 

Adoption and Enablement 

• Build role-based enablement for business and IT teams, including training, prompt libraries, and use-case playbooks. 

• Identify and prioritize high-value use cases across functions. 

• Drive change management to move from pilot to organization-wide adoption. 

Required Experience 

• Proven experience rolling out an LLM platform across an entire organization, not a single team. Claude experience strongly preferred; equivalent GPT or Gemini rollout experience considered. 

• Hands-on experience with enterprise AI governance, guardrails, and compliance. 

• Strong solution architecture background covering cloud, identity, integration, and security. 

• Ability to operate effectively across both business stakeholders and IT or engineering teams. 

• Comfortable in a fast-start, hands-on engagement model. 

Preferred 

• Direct experience with the Anthropic Claude ecosystem, including Enterprise, API, MCP, and Claude Code. 

• Exposure to regulated industries such as Healthcare, Life Sciences, or Manufacturing. 

• Change management or adoption certification. 

Engagement Model 

Phase 1 (Weeks 1 to 4): Part-time. Architecture definition, governance design, and pilot scoping. 

Phase 2 (2 to 3 months): Full-time. Execution, rollout, enablement, and scale across the organization.
