DevOps Engineer 9 Month Contract Remote / Cardiff
VIQU have partnered with an NHS organisation who are looking for a DevOps Engineer to support the development and improvement of their Azure-based platform and application delivery environment.
This is a hands on DevOps Engineer role, working across CI/CD, automation and cloud platform configuration, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft technologies, including Power Platform and .NET-based applications.
The successful DevOps Engineer will play a key role in improving deployment processes, platform reliability and application lifecycle management across a modern cloud environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Terraform and YAML, supporting automated and repeatable deployments
- Support and improve Azure cloud services and platform configuration, including monitoring, telemetry and alerting using Application Insights
- Work across Power Apps, Dataverse and Microsoft CRM, contributing to solution design and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) strategies
- Support development and deployment of .NET web applications, including source control and branching strategies (GitHub)
- Implement and support containerised deployments using Docker and Kubernetes, enabling scalable and zero-downtime releases
- Contribute to platform improvements, automation initiatives and DevOps best practices across the team
Key Skills & Experience Required
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure cloud services and platform engineering
- Proven experience building CI/CD pipelines using Terraform and YAML
- Experience with Power Platform (Power Apps, Dataverse, and/or Microsoft CRM), including ALM practices
- Experience supporting .NET web applications and GitHub-based workflows
- Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerised deployments
- Experience working in modern DevOps environments, with a focus on automation, reliability and continuous delivery
Contract Overview
- Role: DevOps Engineer
- Duration: Contract runs till end of March 2027
- IR35: Inside IR35
- Rate: £325 per day
- Location: Remote / Cardiff
