Electrical Engineer - Permanent Opportunity

Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer looking for your next challenge within the public sector?

We're looking for a skilled Electrical Engineer to join a busy Building Services & Maintenance team, delivering safe, compliant, and sustainable electrical engineering solutions across a diverse property portfolio.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the design and delivery of modern, low-carbon electrical systems while ensuring statutory compliance and excellent service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and review electrical engineering solutions across a varied property portfolio.

• Produce feasibility studies, condition surveys, technical reports, and specifications.

• Prepare and manage CAD drawings.

• Act as Contract Administrator, carrying out site inspections and monitoring contractor performance.

• Diagnose defects and develop practical, cost-effective engineering solutions.

• Provide technical advice on electrical compliance, regulations, and industry best practice.

• Monitor project progress, budgets, and contractor performance against agreed KPIs.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.

• Support the delivery of energy-efficient, sustainable, and low-carbon electrical systems.

About You

You'll have experience in:

• Electrical Building Services Engineering

• Electrical design and specification

• Building maintenance and property services

• Contract administration

• Site inspections and quality assurance

• Electrical compliance and statutory regulations

• CAD drawing production

• Contractor management

• Delivering projects on time and within budget

Experience working within local government, housing, healthcare, education, or commercial property environments would be advantageous, along with knowledge of sustainable and low-carbon building design.
