Infrastructure Engineer

Join an enterprise technology team helping modernize Windows device management through Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Entra ID. This role focuses on migrating complex Windows environments from traditional Active Directory domain join to cloud-based management, with an emphasis on automation, user experience, and secure endpoint administration.
Responsibilities

• Assess current Active Directory environments, including multiple domains, Group Policy Objects, login scripts, scheduled tasks, and local device configurations.
• Identify policies and settings that should be migrated, modernized, or retired as part of the endpoint transformation.
• Support Microsoft Entra ID Join and Microsoft Intune implementation for Windows devices.
• Design and configure Windows Autopilot enrollment, provisioning, compliance, configuration, and security policies.
• Help define migration waves and deployment strategies that reduce user disruption and technical risk.
• Develop approaches to preserve user profiles and settings during the move from Active Directory identities to Entra ID identities.
• Build PowerShell automation for device assessment, readiness checks, enrollment workflows, registration, reporting, and validation.
• Create repeatable deployment processes, post-migration checks, and operational runbooks.
• Identify migration risks and support rollback, recovery, re-enrollment, and break-glass procedures.
• Document technical solutions, support processes, and knowledge transfer materials for internal teams.

Skills

• Hands-on experience administering Microsoft Intune in an enterprise environment.
• Strong Microsoft Entra ID Join experience.
• Solid background in Active Directory and Group Policy administration.
• Experience translating Group Policy settings into Intune policies and configuration profiles.
• Windows 10 and Windows 11 endpoint administration experience.
• Advanced PowerShell scripting and automation skills.
• Experience with Windows Autopilot deployment and provisioning.
• Enterprise endpoint migration experience with a focus on scalability and operational stability.
• Ability to work through complex technical details while keeping documentation clear and actionable.

Preferred Skills

• Experience supporting user profile migration during Active Directory to Entra ID transitions.
• Familiarity with shared-device and multi-user device scenarios.
• Knowledge of Conditional Access and Dynamic Groups.
• Experience with Windows Update for Business and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.
• Exposure to Microsoft Graph API for automation or administration.
• Background in consulting or contractor roles within enterprise environments.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to create well-organized technical documentation.
• A collaborative mindset and a commitment to inclusive teamwork.
