Job Description

Cyber & Information Security Manager

Location: Peterborough or London
Salary: £50,000-£60,000

VIQU is looking for an experienced Cyber & Information Security Manager for our client to take responsibility for cyber and information security within a large, geographically distributed organisation.

You'll own and develop the cyber security strategy, lead governance and risk management, oversee security assurance and support responses to cyber incidents. Working closely with senior leadership, IT and Transformation teams, you'll ensure security is Embedded across technology and organisational change.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and develop the Cyber and Information Security Strategy.
  • Manage the cyber security risk framework and risk register.
  • Lead security governance, assurance and reporting.
  • Support audits and certifications, including Cyber Essentials and ISO 27001.
  • Lead and coordinate responses to cyber security incidents.
  • Oversee security controls and third-party cyber risk.
  • Drive cyber security awareness and organisational security maturity.
About You

You'll ideally have:

  • Experience in a Cyber Security Manager, Information Security Manager or similar role.
  • Strong cyber governance, risk and assurance experience.
  • Knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls and/or Cyber Essentials.
  • Experience with security audits, certifications and incident response.
  • Experience working within a complex, multi-site organisation.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act.
  • Sufficient technical knowledge to challenge IT teams and suppliers.

CISSP, CISM or ISO 27001 certifications would be advantageous.
