Job Description

Job Summary This role focuses on wireless device testing and certification across 4G, 5G, VoLTE, VoWiFi, RCS, SMS, and MMS technologies. The engineer will conduct lab and field testing, analyze device behavior and protocol call flows, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with OEMs and chipset manufacturers to ensure device performance and compliance.

Key Responsibilities Conduct wireless device testing and certification in laboratory and field environments. Analyze call flows using RRC and NAS protocols. Perform hands-on testing of iOS and Android devices. Collect, analyze, and triage device logs to identify issues and determine root causes. Utilize device logging and diagnostic tools such as XCAP, XCAL, and QXDM. Apply data analytics and visualization tools such as Tableau and Databricks to support device testing and analysis.

Communicate device issues, test findings, and technical recommendations effectively to OEMs and chipset manufacturers. Collaborate with engineering, OEM, chipset, and cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve device-related issues. Support device certification activities and ensure testing aligns with applicable wireless technology requirements. Required Qualifications 7+ years of experience in wireless device testing and certification.

Strong understanding of 4G, 5G SA/NSA, mmWave, VoLTE, VoWiFi, RCS, SMS, and MMS technologies. 2+ years of hands-on experience testing iOS and Android devices. 2+ years of experience using device logging and diagnostic tools such as XCAP, XCAL, and QXDM. 2+ years of experience with analytics and visualization tools such as Tableau, Databricks, or similar platforms. Experience analyzing RRC and NAS protocol call flows. Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical issues clearly to OEMs, chipset manufacturers, and internal stakeholders. Bachelors degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field preferred.
