Job Description

Senior Mechanical Project Manager
Central London | £110,000–£140,000
Take full ownership of the mechanical delivery on a major London MEP project — a £30m–£50m commercial fit-out where you'll shape delivery from start to finish. Rather than managing a section of the works, you'll be the senior mechanical point of contact for the client, consultants and internal team, bringing technical delivery, programme management, procurement, commercial control, team leadership and client management together under one remit.
Your decisions will directly shape programme, margin, quality and client satisfaction, and you'll lead project managers, construction managers, engineers, supervisors, subcontractors and suppliers — a scale of team leadership and accountability beyond what you'll typically have had before. The package reflects that seniority, with a car or travel allowance, bonus, pension and private healthcare on top of your salary.
What you'll do

 • Take full responsibility for delivering the mechanical package, from pre-construction and procurement through to installation, commissioning and handover
 • Lead the project team, subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards
 • Manage client and consultant relationships, monitor commercial performance, and resolve risks or issues that could affect project delivery
What you'll need
 • Proven experience delivering major mechanical building services packages from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover
 • Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, pipework, public health and associated mechanical systems
 • Experience leading project teams, subcontractors and suppliers on large, complex MEP projects
 • Strong commercial awareness, including budget management, cost control, variations and forecasting
 • Confidence managing programme, quality, health and safety, client relationships and key project risks
About the company
Our client is an independently owned, national M&E contractor and the business delivers whole-scheme building services across design, installation and commissioning spanning mechanical, electrical, HVAC and energy
It has grown into a sizeable mid-market contractor: turnover rose roughly 20% over two years reflecting a financially established, expanding business.
Click 'Apply' to get started — and don't worry if your CV isn't up to date.
