Job Description

Azure Solution Architect (Azure Gov) – Remote Contract

Duration: 6 Months Contract
Location: Remote (Preferred: New York, Philadelphia, Alpharetta, GA)
Client: Confidential (Federal & State Government Sector)

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and lead Azure/Azure Gov cloud solutions with a focus on scalability, security, reliability, and cost optimization.
  • Architect AI-enabled solutions including bots, copilots, intelligent automation, Azure AI Services, and Azure OpenAI integrations.
  • Provide technical leadership across cloud, infrastructure, security, and application architecture initiatives.
  • Collaborate with business and engineering teams to deliver secure, compliant, and reusable cloud solutions.
  • Ensure adherence to government security standards, governance, DevSecOps, and cloud best practices.

Required Skills

  • Strong experience with Azure/Azure Gov architecture (Networking, Firewalls, Containers, Azure DevOps, etc.).
  • Expertise in IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, cloud security, identity management (SAML, OAuth, OIDC, MFA, RBAC).
  • Experience with automation and configuration tools (Azure DevOps, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Salt, Octopus).
  • Knowledge of multi-region architectures, data integration, cloud security controls, and distributed systems.
  • Experience designing cloud-native and microservices-based solutions.

AI Requirements

  • Hands-on experience architecting and implementing AI-powered solutions in Azure Gov environments.
  • Knowledge of Azure AI Services, Azure OpenAI, RAG architectures, secure API integrations, and governed data access.
  • Understanding of responsible AI, compliance, auditing, monitoring, and AI lifecycle governance.
  • Experience integrating AI capabilities into cloud-native applications and DevSecOps pipelines.

Preferred

  • Active Secret Clearance preferred; must be eligible to obtain one.
  • Experience supporting Federal or State Government clients.
