Job Title: Database Engineer / Database Administrator (CockroachDB)

Job Description Pointers

  • 5–10 years of overall experience in database technologies and database administration.

  • 2–5 years of hands-on experience with CockroachDB in production environments.

  • Strong understanding of distributed SQL databases, high availability, replication, and clustering concepts.

  • Experience installing, configuring, upgrading, and maintaining CockroachDB clusters.

  • Proficient in SQL, database performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting.

  • Experience with backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and database security best practices.

  • Familiarity with database monitoring, capacity planning, and performance analysis tools.

  • Experience working in Linux/Unix environments.

  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) and container technologies (Docker/Kubernetes) is preferred.

  • Experience with automation and scripting using Shell, Python, or similar languages is an advantage.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code is a plus.
