Job Description

Hansen Talent Group is hiring a Account Manager to support a financial services organization in Columbia SC.

This role serves as the primary point of contact for employers, managing day-to-day retirement plan administration and ensuring compliance with ERISA regulations. You’ll provide guidance on contributions, distributions, and plan operations while maintaining strong client relationships in a fast-paced environment.


What You’ll Do

• Act as the main contact for employers, advisors, and participants
• Support plan administration including contributions, distributions, and payroll processing
• Resolve payroll issues and monitor contribution discrepancies
• Review and approve plan transactions (distributions, rollovers, beneficiary updates)
• Assist employers with payroll uploads via the portal
• Interpret plan documents and communicate updates or changes
• Prepare year-end valuation letters and support financial reporting
• Review Form 5500s and assist with audit processes and inquiries
• Perform eligibility calculations and contribution projections
• Support system testing and process improvements


What You’ll Need

• Experience in retirement plan administration or related financial services
• Understanding of ERISA plans (401(k), 403(b), etc.)
• Experience reviewing financial reports and supporting Form 5500 processes
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Adobe)
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
