Title: Life Safety Systems Engineer — Fire Alarm / VESDA / NFPA 
Location: AZ · OR · TX · PA preferred — open to qualified U.S. candidates (Onsite)
Employment Type: W-2 Contract-to-Hire

About the Role
Additional openings for Life Safety Systems Engineers supporting the same engineering program as REQ 23703 — same role, same requirements. Our client has multiple headcount approvals. Preferred locations: Arizona, Oregon, Texas, and Pennsylvania; qualified candidates in other U.S. locations near major offices will also be considered.
Hands-on fire alarm and VESDA design experience are both required. BS Engineering degree required. Direct path to permanent employment via contract-to-hire.
 
Key Responsibilities
 
•     Design Fire Alarm, VESDA, and life safety systems for large industrial and high-tech facilities
•     Design security CCTV, HPM leak detection, and toxic gas monitoring (TGM) systems
•     Design fire sprinkler systems, gaseous suppression, and smoke/explosion prevention systems
•     Produce 3D BIM models in AutoCAD and Revit MEP with multi-discipline coordination
•     Prepare engineering calculations, equipment specifications, and construction deliverables
•     Estimate and schedule design efforts for mid-to-large scale projects
•     Lead and mentor junior team members
 
Required Qualifications
 
•     Bachelor''s degree in Engineering — required (with ability to attain PE licensure)
•     4+ years AutoCAD design experience
•     Fire alarm and VESDA design experience — both required
•     Knowledge of NFPA 72, NFPA 101, NFPA 70 (NEC), NFPA 400
•     Design and construction specification knowledge
 
Preferred Qualifications
 
•     PE license (active or in progress)
•     Revit MEP proficiency and BIM delivery experience
•     Semiconductor, data center, or mission-critical facility experience
•     Project leadership, resource management, or mentoring background
•     Smoke modeling or explosion prevention experience
