Job Description
As a Senior Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering Urbis' strategic approach to Business Development (BD). Working closely with the Head of BD, you will help lead our market led, client focused priorities, and support the ongoing development of our BD team as part of the Brand & Clients (B&C) group.
This Brisbane based role is central to lifting Urbis' work winning capability and strengthening our client relationships, with a focus on some of our core Business Units. You will act as a trusted advisor to Executive Team members, Partners and senior leaders, helping to drive growth priorities and elevate the client experience through insight led, integrated and practical BD strategies. With a strong 'One Urbis' mindset, you will connect people across disciplines to deliver consistent, high quality outcomes for clients and the business.
As a Senior BD Manager, every day is different. You'll make an impact by:
- Providing senior leadership to the BD function, supporting the Head of BD to build team capability, maturity and a high performing, collaborative culture.
- Leading priority growth opportunities across Business Units, clients and sectors, partnering with senior leaders to set strategy and convert opportunities.
- Championing a client centric, market led approach by embedding the client voice, and translating insights into improved client outcomes.
- Lifting work winning capability across the business through coaching, collaboration and best practice, strengthening BD skills and behaviours at all levels.

- A relevant tertiary or postgraduate qualification.
- Significant experience in BD, sales or account management, including leading, managing and mentoring teams within a professional services environment.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and communicate insights effectively at leadership level.
- Strong technical BD skills, including tactical sales execution, strategy development and implementation, negotiation, relationship management, and the uplift of BD capability.
- Proven experience building strategic relationships, managing major opportunities, key clients and converting new business opportunities.
- Established industry networks and knowledge within the real estate or built environment sector will be highly regarded.
