Job Description

We‘re looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our Lune Gorge project team.

In this role you‘ll support the Lune Gorge project team in delivering commercial excellence.

Location:

Nationwide – site based role, Tebay, Cumbria with some remote working available

Hours:

Permanent Fulltime 45 hours - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us

Salary:

- £40,000 - £45,000 per year + £5k annual car allowance + benefits

What will you be responsible for?

As a Quantity Surveyor, you‘ll play a vital role in managing costs, maximising value, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Your day to day will include:

Managing commercial resources to maximise planned gross margin through effective contract control

Producing and submitting valuations, claims, and contract performance data

Monitoring and forecasting financial information for your work packages

Assessing and mitigating commercial and contractual risks

Maximising cash flow through control, measurement, and valuation of work

What are we looking for?

This role of Quantity Surveyor could be a great fit if you:

Hold a relevant construction-related degree

Have a full UK driving licence

Bring previous experience in a commercial role for a contractor, within the transportation or construction sectors

Are comfortable using MS Office, with strong Excel skills

Communicate clearly and enjoy working collaboratively as part of a team
